Too busy with my devil's thumbs To notice when the moment comes. Buried in my memories of glories past through filtered screens That seem to tell my stories so much more vividly than I, But all that I receive comes in a never-ending stream And flooding in I try to catch it but it keeps on rushing by. The cupfuls that I saved I'm dropping in amongst the waves, To let them swill around and mingle with the oceans of my life. Standing at the junction I was absent from the scene, Fixing down in pixels something right before my eyes. Too busy with my devil's thumbs To notice when the moment comes. Can't make sense of what it meant When the light's bent through your camera lens. Too busy with my devil's thumbs To notice when the moment comes. Can't make sense of what it meant. You can't hold on to the setting sun It just tumbles over the side of the horizon You can chase it down or just turn around For behind you there's another new one rising The moment's gone and the race is run Ending just as it begun, gasping for a last-chance grasp at freedom Put these shattered shards aside open your eyes A welcome wide and save your tears for when you need them. Too busy with my devil's thumbs To notice when the moment comes. Can't make sense of what it meant When the light's bent through your camera lens.

Don't Judge 03:43
I stand for every one of us But I'm up here all alone. I clean and jerk these leaden words Once they're dropped they're set in stone. These words we worked so hard to find, Walking blindly through a maze. We've heard enough our choice is made, Our voices lined up on the page. The room is hushed and baits its breath Braced for the worst hoping for the best. Who are we to judge to dish up death? And were you cursed from the start and never been blessed. I stand for every one of us But what makes you think I'm good enough? Who are we to judge to dish up death? I stand for every one of us. This is no wooden sword to play These lines are like a sharpened blade. I strike the knife and twist it twice You're howling like a dog in the night. I stand for every one of us.

Turncoat 03:35
Don't look back Don't look back or you'll see the cracks you leaving. I hope and pray that I'll see the day when you say what you believe in. But all that spews from your mouth is so empty I doubt Sometimes you even know that you're speaking. The words get so blurred tumbling out like they're leaking This poisonous sludge we're knee deep i. But don't look back. You've been here a while and your sticky-back smile Leaves me bleeding inside where's your pride when it's needed? You're walking away and my hopes are fading faster than the evening. But don't look back.

Alchemy 04:53
With every step we take the coin reveals both sides. With each lunge into the future that fate seems to decide, A knife can make a meal that feeds or cut off all our ties, Life can create or break as stake our claim to survive. That truth is fake is old not news though we're told otherwise. Every story sold is coloured through its author's eyes. To spin our own gold from this yarn is no-one else line. To swallow pride and cut right through ad see what lies behind. We own the truth cos everyone has their own to find. I should listen to my enemies as much as to my friends Try to see the universe from their side of the fence. It's only when the world's been burned and all the money's spent, We'll see we should have heard each other's voices of lament. We knew it all along but couldn't lower our defence, Guarding our own pot when there's so much more to blend Set apart from all these flavours clinging to the bitter end. Everybody wants to know just where to draw the line, Better plot a course that's of your very own design. No-one's gonna tell you just which hill to climb, The only navigator's just inside of your own mind. We don't live in binary there's every shade of grey, Fifty's nowhere near enough to colour in each day. A shattered glass of pathways to pick through own way, You can cook up your own recipe just how it needs to taste. That truth is fake is old not news though we're told otherwise. Every story sold is coloured through its author's eyes. To spin our own gold from this yarn is no-one else line. To swallow pride and cut right through and see what lies behind. We own the truth cos everyone has their own to find. Feed tomorrow on today's remains Throw everything into the pot and let it brew away. Making something greater than the flotsam it contains Season it with all the colours that you've ever dreamed.

Signal 05:10
The signal that I'm making doesn't seem to be sending, I'm travelling the straight line but it's bending. Here and now extrapolates into the never ending Unravelling and fraying every single nerve rending. I'm burrowing down rabbit holes and chasing after Alice, Bowing to these false idols all idle in the palace. My skin is hardened - call me callous - To the lights of the aurora borealis. It's just a pain behind the eyes, Gonna take to task these parasites. The signal that I'm making doesn't seem to be sending, I'm travelling the straight line but it's bending. Here and now extrapolates into the never ending Unravelling and fraying every single nerve rending. The rhythm of the phase on which I seem to be depending, Is pulsing in a palsy fibrillating like a stalling engine. Waking in a dream But time ticks on while I'm asleep, Taking me downstream Quietly it creeps. You can't out-shout the wind But every whisper it will keep. I'm turning all my lights out and I'm pissing in the dark, While down the road there's office blocks all lit up spitting sparks into the night. And as I separate my single-usage plastics There's an island in the ocean needing measures way more drastic. This machine powered by profit Spins so fast I can't get off it.

Quit messing around, put your feet back on the ground. Procrastination's easy but tomorrow's just a question. Today is just a wait-and-see until you quit your messing. This information's free won't you just put you request in. But don't blame me cos there's no point in protesting. I think I'm ready to let go, Both feet in at the get-go. Throw my insides out and shake them all about - You only see the colours I let show. So here I am I carve my name in sand. Time's a test that nothing ever stands. Holding tight to everything I planned, Better get ready to get blown. Quit messing around, put your feet back on the ground (I think I'm ready so let's go) Quit messing around, put your feet back on the ground (I think I'm ready to let go) Quit messing around, put your feet back on the ground (Both feet in at the get-go)

Rearranged 04:07
These faces have changed and the streets rearranged Since this was my home here. They once called my name now I'm just a stranger Passing through and unknown here. Searching for a melody and lost in a reverie, It's since been paved over. Ready as I'll ever be, And a little more sober. No bolt of lightning just timeless erosion at the point where the shores meet the force of the ocean. Each wave beaten back but the seas never broken Marching on blindly but with my eyes open. Through the lens of your memory you'd almost forgotten All the cracks in the walls every ceiling gone rotten. This ain't no epiphany or a moment exploding But each breath of the fight and a story unfolding.

Gonna get myself an ego get myself a tan, Start telling everyone I'm gonna lead them to the promised land. Get myself some sycophants - somewhere for my words to hang, Take a couple selfies get a billion likes on Instagram. Blame a couple of immigrants bluff up half a plan, Stab a couple backs and shake a couple grease hands Build an army, form a clan get a wagon for the band, Break a couple bridges draw some lines across the sand. I'm gonna brush up on my Machiavelli and Then dress it up as a people's rebellion. Foster division black and white and Orwellian, You lap up my lies that's why I keep on telling them. I'd burn the earth just to make another dollar, And you know where I go the whole world follows Every single word I utter rings so hollow - You can't get enough no matter how much you swallow. Can't walk the walk but I can stand, Can't talk but I can shout you down. I needed no torture no force and no battering ram For when I whistled you just pissed on command, On your doorstep, no less, and then you patted your palms, Like you'd done yourself proud, sleeves rolled up on your arms. I never had to break the calm or do you no harm - You just played your part and acquiesced to my demands. Then a bruise of regret comes creeping in sight, That I choose to forget, go on believing I'm right. I bury it deep with the worries that keep me from sleep, Carry on as I've done every night. Got myself an ego got myself a tan, Keep telling everybody that this is the promised land. Got myself some sycophants - somewhere for my words to hang, Took a couple selfies got a billion likes on Instagram. Blamed a couple of immigrants cooked up half a plan, Stabbed a couple grabbed a couple greased couple hands Built an army, formed a clan got a wagon for the band, Broke a couple bridges drew some lines across the sand. If you need me you won't find me hid behind my fucking wall. Now I've got it all and all I want's a little more Though I really can't recall what I once set sail for. Now I've poisoned all the oceans and I've plundered all the shores I'll keep sucking out the life until there's nothing left to trawl.

Shake Up 04:27
There's never been a time the world has been so small, But still we seem more distant than we've ever been before. Together we're alone there's just too many ways to talk, Reality is well and good but if it's real it's such a bore. We have no neighbours any more, Just some strangers live next door. Rather watch the shadows on the wall, Than the faces behind them all. Don't tell me they're the problem, don't come round here selling hate, Painting your pantomime goblins and enemies at the gate. I'll push my boulder up the hill though it may fall when I awake. What is heaven what is hell but these moments that we make? It's not the time to build a wall, it's time to build a bridge, Thought it feels sometimes we're chasing an eternally receding ridge. I'll take my brothers by the hand and pull them from the precipice, I'll stand in solidarity even if everybody sits. There's nothing left to hide behind now everything's a show.
10.
If I only make the offer when I know you can't refuse, If I only raise my head when it's impossible to lose, If I only take my choice when there's nothing left to choose, Only make my voice heard when you share my point of view, If I only ask the question when I think you'll like the answer I'll be basking in my echo, nothing ventured, no advances. The moment that you're chest is bared and you're open to the shot, You climb the crest you never dared scared as your are to take the spot. Find the limb that you believe in and climb out on the bough. If it should break beneath your weight you still your bow. When you're derided pay no heed, don't stray off from the trail. The only time we might succeed's when we're prepared to fail. Why bother climbing mountains when this valley's warm and dry? This cliff face unforgiving rising dizzyingly high. To lift above the crowds and see the never-ending skies, No hiding, no pretending, nothing left of your disguise. Only then's the time when I am yours and you are mine. And this carousel goes on, perhaps your oracle was wrong.

Pulsar 04:07
You say that you're leaving, This town for the stars, You're heading this evening, for the nearest pulsar. can I hitch a ride, If it's not a faux-pas to ask, It's just I'd Like to hide from the noise See the sky open wide In all its beauty and poise. We could take in the sights, Swing on by the old boys, strap them in for the flight. Out beyond the maelstrom, Out beyond wrong and right. We could forget about where we're from. Sing a merry old tune, In the silence as we sail on, Somewhere way out past the moon, The asteroids and giants, For navigating we will soon Be totally reliant, On the glow of a quasar As it shines its defiant Light on how strange our ways are. We look back a speck, Just a beep on the radar, All we've come to expect That we must now reject. Out beyond the maelstrom, Out beyond wrong and right. In the silence as we sail on.
